Nawab Palace is one of the popular historic places which is located at a distance of 6 Kms from Murud Janjira and is also known as Ahmedganj Palace. Nandgaon - SiddhiVinayaka Temple
Siddhi Vinayaka temple is situated at Nandgaon between Kashid and Murud about 10 kms before Murud. A grand festival is organized here every year on 'Maghi Chaturthi' day which is celebrated with much pomp and fervor. Another traditionally auspicious day for 'Darshan' is 'sankashti chaturthi' or 'Sankata Hara Chaturthi' every month. Siddhi Vinayaka temple is located near the secluded Nandgaon beach. A visit to Siddhivinayak temple can be coupled with a Murud Janjira trip.
Murud Janjira Fort
Murud-Janjira is the local name for a fort situated on an island just off the coastal village of Murud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The Fort is situated on an oval-shaped rock off the Arabian Sea coast, about few kms from our Restaurant. Janjira is considered one of the strongest marine forts in India. Another fortress named Ghosal gad is located on top of the hill around 32 kms east of Murud-Janjira, and was used as an outpost for the rulers of Janjira.
